Click through each stage to see what typically happens, what you'll need to do, and what we take off your plate.
Timelines are typical and vary by carrier, policy and severity. Restorvia is not an insurance company or public adjuster and cannot make coverage decisions or give legal advice.
Your claim-ready checklist.

What homeowners ask us most.
What does "mitigation" mean on my claim?
Mitigation is the emergency work to stop damage getting worse — extraction, drying, board-up, tarping. Policies generally expect it to be done promptly, and it's usually billed separately from rebuild.
What if the adjuster's estimate is lower than yours?
It's common. We send a line-by-line comparison with photos and readings supporting each item, and often a supplement once hidden damage is uncovered. The final decision rests with your carrier.
Do I pay you upfront?
For covered losses, you're typically responsible for your deductible and any items your carrier doesn't approve. We'll explain your out-of-pocket portion before rebuild starts.
What if my claim is denied?
We'll give you a written estimate and payment options for the work you choose to do. For disputes about coverage, you may want to consult a licensed public adjuster or attorney.
